One of the biggest events of the year is cranking up beginning today, Wednesday July 29. The 2009 Deschutes County Fair & Rodeo.
Enjoy four days of national music talent, amuzment park rides, games, and all the animals. We’re super stoked about the Thursday night performance of rock legend Peter Frampton. That’ll be a great show.
Below is the complete event guide for the entire weekend. You’ll find discount information, event pricing, and a whole lot more.

Anyone up for a staring contest?
BendNights.com and Bolt Media Group, the producers of the Bend Comedy Competition, kicks off ‘Sun-Dried Comedy,’ an outdoor stand-up comedy series.
The three day event begins tonight, July 23rd, at WineStyles in Redmond. We’re setting up the stage on the patio, surrounded by trees, flowers, and cool green grass for your low-back chair. WineStyles will also have chairs and tables available.
Morgan Preston, fresh off his national tour, will be performing his stand-up comedy all three nights throughout the series. The shows lasts about 1 1/2 hours. Morgan will also be performing a special fire-assisted closing act that, in itself, is worth the price of admission! Click here to check Morgan’s videos out.
Friday, July 24th, you can catch the Sun-Dried Comedy Series at Scoots Bar & Grill’s outdoor stage in Sisters and then on July 25th at Parrilla Grill in their parking lot. All shows begin at 8pm. You can buy tickets online now right here at BendNights.com or you can just come to the show and get them there.
Either way it’s going to be a great night of comedy. Sun, food, drink, and Comedy!

Bend, you just got hacked.
I wish we would have thought of this first, but I’ve got to give daps to Jon over at HackBend.com for compiling this perfect list of things to do this summer that will cost little or no cabbage out of your already starving wallet.
If you haven’t been to HackBend.com yet, check it out. He’s a local blogger that does just what his site says… He hacks apart Bend and delivers stories covering a wide range of topics. Everything from community events, to local concerns, and even stories like one exposing the Throwing Star code in Bend. (It’s a good read.) Continue Reading
