The Mt. Bachelor “Ski for Schools” fundraiser to benefit the Education Foundations for Bend-La Pine and Redmond Schools will run from November 30 through December 4, 2009. The event is in its fifth year but this is the first time it will be held for a week rather than a single day.

Skiers and snowboarders are urged to purchase a $20 Ski for Schools ticket and then redeem it at Mt. Bachelor any one day during the Ski for Schools week for a single day lift ticket. Tickets for the event will be on sale starting Friday, October 30th through Friday, November 28th at the following Central Oregon locations: all Mid Oregon Credit Union locations, Skjersaa’s, Powder House, Pine Mountain Sports, Side Effect, Twenty-Eight, Zydeco, 4 Season’s Recreational Outfitters (Sunriver), all three Redmond McDonald’s locations (Redmond only), Jody’s Drive-In (Redmond), the Bend-La Pine School District Office, and the Redmond School District office. A total of 2,500 tickets will be made available for this event and they will not be available at the Mt. Bachelor ticket windows, so get yours early at any of the listed distribution locations.

Mt. Bachelor donates all Ski for Schools ticket revenue back to the Foundations and the event has helped raise more than $70,000 to benefit local schools over the last five years.
