The Underground. Not just another nightclub.
We’ve all been hearing the same rumors for years now. “Club 97 is reopening.” “Somebody bought Club 97.” We’ve heard it all.
Well, a couple weeks ago I learned from an insider that there really was a new buyer for the joint. So, this time instead of sitting on my thumbs, The BN team hopped on our fleet of scooters and rolled down to see for ourselves. It’s no lie. It’s actually going to happen.
We sat down and talked with the new owners and were impressed with what we heard and saw. They’re tearing the place up, knocking out walls, and getting ready for the 1000+ people that will stroll through their doors this summer.
They say they’ll have everything from national DJ talent to big name live music shows. And, of course you can look forward to a new era of BendNights Dot Comedy. When the gates open, we’ll be bringing some of the biggest names in comedy to the stage, and you know how we do it.
We’ll be heading back into the construction-laden club shortly to get more goods to pass along to you. When everything is put together and ready to open, BendNights.com will be the first in the door to get you menus, video tours and the full list of events.
Stay tuned. It sounds like Bend’s about to get a shake up.

Im coming back to bend to visit a good friend of mine and her and I need to have a girls night! I’m 21 but she is 19… I heard that this new underground place is for 18 and up.. is this true???
The shots are short, short, short! The atmosphere is nice and spread out but the bouncers are behind every table so you really don’t get the breathing room you deserve. Also getting a very bad reputation for over serving and inciting fights that end with the gorilla-like bouncers taking you out back where there are no cameras and beating the crap out of you like in some kind of mob movie. Approximately a month ago a twenty-one year old young lady(TWENTY-ONE!!) got over served and ended up running over one of bouncers and finally getting a DUII. It is the bartender’s responsibility to quit serving anybody showing signs of intoxication! Word of mouth says that the clubs management says to never cut any of their patrons off. They just serve whiskey/cokes with just coke and charge their customers $8.00. This club is bad for Bend and should get their License to serve Liquor REVOKED ASAP!!!!!
Huh, seeing how there’s only 6-8 bouncers and around 40 tables… I find it very impressive that they can be behind every table. And yeah, their gestapo tactics… beating people up… doesn’t happen. Another contradiction in your post… the shots are short… but they overserve?
Good work on making sense.
Went to the soft opening last week: HAD A GREAT TIME. The work they all put in was very evident…hope to see many folks there supporting the place…CO needs this.
Went to the soft opening of the club last night and it is awesome! The place has a whole new look and feel, the bartenders, food and atmosphere are great! I have known the owners for 13 years and they are excited about the club and making it a huge success and I know they will. Everybody go check it out!
Their names are Todd and Diana Larson…they are great friends of mine and actually we talked in length about the club when they lived in Houston. Todd and diana has done a lot of work to secure this club and from the photos that they have sent me, I think that you guys are going to be so impressed. I know that they are very excited to get this business up and running for the Pre Grand Opening in July. This is not going to be like Club 97. It is going to be better. If you want the inside scoup that even reporters will not get you can always direct your questions to me then I can see what I can dig up for you guys.
I thought the owner of Seven nightclub bought that place…….huh….guess the truth of the matter has finally surfaced
